The Red Rock Saxophone Quartet is comprised of professional musicians from Las Vegas, Nevada. Established in 2001, the RRSQ is committed to advancing the appreciation of chamber music through outreach concerts to educate, inspire, and entertain audiences. Since its inception, the RRSQ has performed in a variety of settings, including the 2016 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference in Texas, Russell Peterson’s “…Who Needs Enemies?” for saxophone quartet and wind orchestra at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, and a series of holiday concerts in southern Nevada sponsored by the Coca-Cola Company. The RRSQ mostly recently collaborated with the Capitol Quartet to perform Joel Love’s “Three Images” for saxophone octet at the 2016 Las Vegas Saxophone Day. Though the RRSQ performs a varied repertoire, they have found their niche in playing and promoting jazz in a modern chamber music setting. RRSQ performs exclusively on Vandoren products.
